Throughout his illustrious career in the Sri Lanka Foreign Service, Ambassador Dhanapala exemplified dedication, integrity, and unwavering commitment to the advancement of Sri Lanka's interests on the global stage. He brought honor and credit to Sri Lanka on the international stage, notably through his exceptional leadership skills and profound knowledge in the field of international disarmament and nonproliferation.
His passing is an irreplaceable loss to our nation and the diplomatic community at large.
