AMBASSADOR WICKRAMASURIYA MEETS US AMBASSADOR- DESIGNATE MS. PATRICIA BUTENIS

The Sri Lankan Ambassador to the United States, Mr.Jaliya Wickramasuriya hosted a dinner in honour of new US Ambassador- designate to Sri Lanka, Ms. Patricia Butenis at the Ambassador's residence in Washington DC.

The formal dinner was attended by senior officials of the US government and diplomats. During the conversation, the US Ambassador emphasized the importance of bilateral relations between Sri Lanka and US. She also highlighted the needs to find ways to enhance bilateral ties, particularly trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.

Ambassador Jaliya Wickramasuriya expressed his best wishes to Ambassador Butens and assured that the formerly ties between the two countries will be strengthened during the tenure of office of the new Ambassador.
