LOCAL TV SPECIAL HAS INTERNATIONAL IMPACT
“Mourning in Paradise” has found an international
audience
After airing on WCCA TV 13 on March 7th, the
documentary “Mourning in Paradise” has crossed the
boundaries of Worcester and has appeared in newspapers and web
sites around the world, Including the Asian Tribune, the Daily
News/ Sri Lanka, EIN NEWS.com/new England, the Embassy of Sri
Lanka/Washington DC and the Media center for national security,
Sri Lanka
During a visit to Massachusetts in January 2008,
Sri Lanka’s Ambassador Bernard Goonetilleke was interviewed
by Ms Masha Wickramasinghe from WCCA TV Channel 13, a public access
TV station in Worcester. The interview focuses on Sri Lanka’s
current armed conflict and peace negotiations. Nearly three decades
long armed conflict in this island has turned the dreamy way of
life in to a nightmare of death and devastation.
“Mourning in Paradise” will be re-cablecast
again on WCCATV 13 on following days:
